Diver-Office Overview

Program multiple groundwater Diver dataloggers; download Diver datalogger measurements onto your PC, and export data to a spreadsheet or modeling program. Diver-Office is a flexible “project-based” measurement software package designed for exchanging critical Diver information. Download Diver-Office

The Perfect Companion

From the field to your office, Diver-Office is an important part of Diver-NETZ. Integrating first-class technologies with the industry’s latest wireless communication and data management capabilities, Diver-NETZ dramatically improves data collection in the field - up to 70% more efficient than traditional methods. Click here to find out more.

Easy-to-use, Intuitive Interface

Diver-Office enables you to easily:

  • Read/Program Diver dataloggers
  • Start/Stop Diver dataloggers, with various start methods
  • Calibrate CTD-Divers
  • Import/Export monitoring data in multiple formats
  • View time series data in a plot or tabular form
  • Import LoggerDataManager (LDM) 5.x databases
  • Perform barometric compensation on water level data

Quick Reading and Programming of Diver Settings

You can read all settings from a Diver with one click.

  • Setting Description
  • Diver Type
  • Diver Status (started or stopped)
  • Serial Number
  • Memory Left
  • Battery Left
  • Firmware Version
  • Pressure Range
  • Conductivity Range
  • Location
  • Sampling Method
  • Sampling Interval
  • Altitude (if applicable)

Once the settings have been read, you can easily modify and program essential Diver settings.

  • Location
  • Sample Method (Fixed, Event Based, predefined pumping test settings, or User Defined)
  • Sample Interval
  • Altitude (if applicable)
  • Conductivity Range (if applicable)

On-the-Fly Calibration of CTD-Divers

Regular CTD-Diver calibration is highly recommended for accurately measuring conductivity. Retrieve calibration history with a push of a button or easily calibrate your ceramic CTD-Divers by simply placing the CTD-Diver in a standard (lab) calibration solution.

Effortless Barometric Compensation

All Diver dataloggers measure groundwater level with a highly accurate absolute pressure sensor. Diver-Office can quickly subtract atmospheric pressure measurements obtained with Baro-Divers to accurately compensate for air pressure variations. Baro-Diver data can be downloaded and easily assigned to any location for barometric compensation. Water levels can be compensated and expressed in the following three ways:

  • The height of the water column above the Diver
  • With respect to the top of well casing (ToC)
  • With respect to a vertical reference datum
What's New in 2009.1

The following new features are available in Diver-Office 2009.1:

  • Enhanced Location Tree
    • Added ability to expand/collapse all tree nodes by right-clicking the root of the location tree.
    • Location names are now automatically listed in alphabetical order.
    • A new location is automatically added to the tree when a new Diver is started, allowing you to enter manual measurements while the Diver is deployed in the field.
  • Data Export
    • Exported data files can now be accessed directly from the Diver-Office interface by selecting the "View Files" (located in the Export dialog that appears after the files have been successfully exported).
  • Plot Settings
    • The y-axis range on time series plots can now be modified by manually entering user defined minimum and maximum values in the plot settings.
  • CTD-Diver Calibration
    • Diver-Office now allows you to restore CTD-Divers to the original factory settings.
  • Set the Project Time
    • A new project setting allows you to specify the time convention (e.g. Daylight Savings time, Standard Time, or System Time) on which your Divers operate. This feature helps ensure that your data is always aligned to a standard time when the time shifts due to daylight savings.

What's New in 2008

The following new features are available in Diver-Office 2008:

  • Internationalization
    • In addition to English and Dutch, Diver-Office now supports the following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, German and French
  • Import Data from Diver-Pocket and Diver-Mate
    • Data from field devices such as Diver-Pocket and Diver-Mate can now be imported directly into your Diver-Office project
  • Added Averaging Sampling Method
    • Program your Divers (Cera-Diver and Micro-Diver only) to store an averaged value of measurements for each parameter, over a user-specified averaging interval
  • Basic QA/QC Data Filter
    • All downloaded and imported data is now automatically passed through a basic QA/QC filter to check for erroneous and corrupted data, and for maximum and minimum values on all Diver channels
  • Save Diver Settings
    • Diver Settings are now retained in the Diver-Office project tree for each location in your project, allowing you to access Diver settings while the Diver is deployed in the field
  • Time Series Graph Enhancements
    • Several enhancements have been made to the time series plotting component. Improvements include: ability to copy plot to clipboard, save the plot as an *.EMF and *.WMF graphics file, view Diver parameters on multiple y-axis, view time series records in the table by selecting a point on the graph
  • Calculated Cable Length
    • Diver-Office automatically calculates a cable length when barometric compensation is performed using a manual measurement. This calculated cable length can then be used in subsequent barometric compensation operations when data is collected via wireless connection, e.g., with Diver-Pocket, when manual measurements are rarely taken
  • Actual Data
    • Actual data now displays the current date and time of the connected Diver. For Micro-Diver, Cera-Diver, Mini-Diver and CTD-Diver (ceramic only), you can now retrieve real time measurements for each parameter when Actual Data is refreshed, even when the Diver is not started
  • General Improvements
    • Added "Cancel" button in Diver dialog allowing you to stop downloading when data is being retrieved from Divers
    • Diver dialog now displays the date and time at which a Diver starts and stops
    • The default project folder is now located in My Documents, allowing you quicker access to exported data files

Sample Method and Sample Interval

Choose from fixed, event-based, one of the predefined pumping test settings, or user defined sample methods.

Fixed -The Diver takes and stores samples in regular time intervals
Event Based –The Diver compares each sample to the last stored sample and calculates a difference
Predefined Pumping Tests - Diver-Office includes three convenient predefined pumping tests for Divers that support this feature, e.g., TD-Diver, Cera-Diver and Micro-Diver
User Defined Pumping Tests (Cera-Diver and Micro-Diver only) - If none of the predefined pumping tests are suitable, you can define and select your own customized pumping test sampling method

Altitude

For TD- and CTD-Divers only, you can enter a value for the altitude above sea level of the location of the Diver within the range of - 300 m to 3,000 m (-984 ft to 9,842 ft)

Conductivity Range

For CTD-Diver DI-263, two additional fields will appear in the Location settings when the Diver settings are read. For the Conductivity Range, choose between 80.00 or 30.00 mS/cm.

System Requirements

  • Pentium processor, 800 MHz
  • 256 MB of RAM
  • 100 MB available hard drive space for installation. Additional space for database is required. Diver-Office supports databases up to 300 MB
  • One available USB port or one Serial COM port
